This is straight up, "Doc-G" Prosecco. Now that the rules are tighter due to a lot of Prosecco wannabes trotting out anything with bubbles and calling it the Big P. Sommariva is legit, from the right place Conegliano-Valdobbiadene. Hell, most of the fakers couldn't even tell you where that was, let alone pronounce it right. Also the real name for the grape is not Prosecco, but Glera. And Glera has two original clones: Balby and Cosmo (weren't they temporarily in the 3 Stooges?) Anyway, this uses the Balby clone. Oh yeah, and this tastes good too. Nice and fresh, with fruit flavors but not sweet. So get the real thing, get Sommariva. Learn More

Paul Bara was the Champagne renegade who decided to stop selling his own grapes to the big Champagne houses like all the other growers and start making his own wine from it. With an eye super focused on quality and with his ability to control every detail of the winemaking process from the growing of the grapes to the bottling of the finished wine he started a trend of small grower producers going it on their own and his wines are amazing. If you have never tried a Bara Champagne please give yourself the pleasure! Learn More
