Francois Chidaine Montlouis "Clos Habert" Loire Valley 2007

Chidaine is one my favorite producers in the Loire Valley. His vineyards are bio-dynamically farmed and his hand is true. Good Chenin Blanc is one of the most under appreciated wines in existence. It ages extremely well and can have complexity to rival the finest white Burgundies. This is a perfect example of nuts, exotic fruit, honey and zillions of other tastes and smells. Delicious now, this will be even better in a few years.

Chateau le Puy Cotes de Francs 2005

First Class Air France non-stop LAX to Paris.  Coach is ghetto, especially internationally.  I prefer First Class for a variety of reasons that I won't bore you with at this time.  But you can call me and I'll break it down for you.  323.662.9024

Domaine Jaeger-Defaix Rully "Clos du Chapitre" 2007

Rully (Roo-Yee) is a village in the Cote Chalonnaise, in the southern part of Burgundy. It can be a great place for bargain hunters as the wines here are often of high quality even though they may lack prestige. This is a great example of a truly authentic tasting Burgundy with out the high acid and astringency that can be present in young wines from the region. It's round and spicy with a bright cherry fruit. Just enough acid to keep it fresh and focused but it won't bite your tongue off. A great choice for your holiday table.

Eric Texier Cotes Du Rhone 2007

2007 is one of the best vintages for the Rhone Valley of all time. All that means is the weather was perfect. All that means is the wine tastes about as good as its ever going to taste. I think this one is the best of the best, in one of the years that's the best of the best. With label that's one of the best of the best. A cool almost getting lost label when you look at it.

Domaine Luc Lapeyre Minervois "L'Amourier" 2006

Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre, are the building blocks of this wine. It's big and full of life, with beautiful color, complex aromas and a lush feel in the mouth. I've never met Luc Lapeyre but if you just look at him you will know why his wine is so good. http://www.luc-lapeyre.leminervois.com

Domaine Guy & Vyan Dufouleur Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru 2006

We have seen a lot of Burgundies from 2006 that are good to drink now, or save for a few years. This is one example. Elegant and medium bodied. Well rounded with ripe, bitter cherry and moist earth aromas. Smooth on the palate and neither too tart or too tannic. Lots of bang for the buck.
